The Challenge
A New South Wales healthcare district needed a digital platform to improve engagement with mental health patients, streamline mental health recovery plan management, and provide better continuity of care between in-person sessions. The solution needed to meet strict healthcare data privacy regulations and integrate with existing systems.
Our Solution
We developed a comprehensive patient engagement platform using React for the frontend and Node.js with Express for the backend, with MongoDB as the database. The platform includes secure patient portals, mental health recovery plan, patient diary and mood tracking, and secure messaging between patients and healthcare providers.
The Results
The platform has been implemented across 1 of the local health district as a pilot across over 200 patients. Initial data shows a improvement in recovery plan adherence and a reduction in re-admissions.
